| 2/3/07: Updates are on the way! Expect to see a whole new selection of work in Electronic Studio, as well as new photos in the memories section in all classes. Until then, though, check out the new Handouts section under Projects to see the details of a few of the Fundamentals of Art assignments. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1/29/07: Congratulations to Marc Jackman! His piece won a gold key in computer graphics at the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. It is currently on exhibit in the Transportation building in Boston. There is a lot of artwork by CRLS students in the show, so be sure to check it out.
Also, I would like to welcome my new student teacher, Jon O'Connor! He comes to us from MassArt, and he will be taking over all of my classes over the next few weeks. He's doing a fabulous job! |

| 12/19/06: Updates are coming, I assure you. Now that my digital camera is back from the shop, expect scans of student work, photos of students working, and other important info. Until then, happy holidays and have an excellent new year. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4/5/06: Once again, Congratulations to Paula Nistal and Joe Blair! Their pieces will be exhibited in a juried show at New England School of Photography. Nice work you guys!
Also, I added a new section for The Seamless Classroom - a series of workshops/open studio time every Wednesday after school for kids who want to learn to work across all of the different studios that the art department offers. All workshops are hosted by Archy LaSalle, Debi Milligan, and me, and we're slowly gathering a number of very dedicated, talented students. Come by and check it out if you can. |

| 3/14/06: At long last, a new update! First, I would like to congratulate Joe Blair and Paula Nistal on their recognition at the Scholastic Art Awards. See Paula's silver key winning images and Joe's honorable mention image in the student work section.
Second, I would like to welcome my new student teacher, Steve Berson. He's taking over my fundamentals of art classes, and he's doing a great job! And last, but not least, let me direct you to the memories section, where you will find updated images of students creating wonderful |

| 11/04/05: We did it! Our opening this afternoon was a great success. The art was excellent, the food was tasty, the music was great, the demos were interesting, and the crowd was huge. Thank you to everyone who came - students, teachers, administrators, and parents!
Click here for images from the event. More are on their way once I get a well-deserved night's rest. |

| 10/23/05: I need help! I'm searching for rubber-chicken-based art to put in a semi-secret section of the site. I'm mainly looking for animation and games, but even funky still images are fine. Email me if you'd like to submit.
Also, check out the new Fundamentals section under Projects! |

| 10/23/05: I promised myself that I would spend three hours updating the site with new work in Electronic Studio. Five hours later, I've added new work in Fundamentals of Art, a Memories section for classroom photos, and a better Contact page for people who would like to call or email me. Oh yeah, and I totally re-did the buttons, banners, and color scheme.
Now off to bed before I pass out from exhaustion. |

10/3/05: Check out the new popcorn collages in the Fundamentals of Art section! I'm really impressed with the finished work. Expect another batch of collages within the next few days as we wrap up critiques... and as more students turn in permission forms.
If you need a form, download it and turn it in ASAP! |

| 9/29/05: Now that we're almost a month into school, it's time for an update. There is a new section in the student gallery for my Fundamentals of Art classes - popcorn drawings, shoe studies, and a few sketchbook pages are up and new images will be added in the near future. If you are in one of my classes and would like to see your work in the gallery, download and fill out a permission slip and model release form (Word format). | ![]() |

| 6/16/05: We did it! Congratulations to the advanced/portfolio digital imaging class on completing the mural. It looks outstanding, and I'm so proud of all of you. Thanks for putting in so many hours after school - your hard work paid off. Also, thanks to all of the students from other classes who stopped by to lend a hand. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6/17/05: The mural looks great so far! If all goes well, expect photos of the finished product by the end of next week. Until then, enjoy a brand new gallery of student work: altered books. Students each brought in an old, work-out book to alter and chose a theme. Every week we rotated books until everyone had worked on at least two pages in every one. The end results are stunning, involving collage, painting, and digital prints. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6/16/05: First of all, the mural is coming along nicely. Click on the image on the left to see a few pics of the work in progress. The rest of this update is purely selfish... the "about" section has two new galleries of my own work. Click here to see paintings and mixed media pieces, and click here to see selections from a few altered books I've been working on.
Only one more week until summer vacation! |

Class: Term 1: Sample Last Name: Sample Password: Sample 5/3/05: This marks the third day in a row of massive updates. Today's update may not seem like a big deal, but it took a long time to put together. Although it's only 90% done, I decided to upload the new alphabet display that recently completed it's stint in Terminal C of Logan Airport. For those of you who didn't get to see the display during the NAEA Convention, here is a photo of the artwork you missed. 5/2/05: Another day, another massive update. Check out the student work section for even more excellent work by my current students, including a new section for student work that has gained recognition through awards and juried exhibits. More to come as the year draws to a close. 5/1/05: I did a pretty major update to the student work area of the site. Definitely check out the new digital self-portraits, face-scans, superheroes, and typography pieces! Updates will continue throughout the week as I gather more outstanding student work from my outstanding students. |

| 1/28/05: Welcome back after our impromtpu vacation! I was trapped inside my apartment because of all the snow, so I had plenty of time to add a few new assignments in the "Course Info" section. So far the updates include "Flash Openings" in the advanced section and "Journals" in intro and advanced. Expect more samples of student work, assignments, and class photos in the coming weeks. | ![]() |
